Our Plan in Action: Burke's Snapshots Provide Glimpse of Classroom Work

Director of Curriculum and Program Innovation Mike Matthews has been hard at work on a document that illustrates the depth and breadth of the Burke's academic experience, and it's now ready for perusal.

Visit kdbs.org/snapshots to view the document — all 140 pages of it! — and get an idea of the projects and lessons weaving their way throughout all of the classrooms on campus.

Why snapshots? Because the Burke's curriculum is always growing and evolving depending on current events, an instructor's recent professional-development experience, etc., so this is a living document that was adapted from the "materials covered" sections in last year's reports. It will change to reflect the most recent curriculum, but it will always be available at kdbs.org/snapshots. Mike will be leading a Parent Ed event in early 2018 on our curriculum, discussing the snapshots and talking about our faculty's work designing curriculum using Understanding by Design.
