         $.75 for kids and seniors
         $2.00 for adults

  • Q How do I know whether my daughter's bus will have a Burkes parent on board?

If you drop your daughter off at the Presidio Avenue bus stop or the Arguello Blvd. bus stop before the time shown in the above schedule, the volunteer parent at that stop will identify her/himself. We encourage all parents to touch base with the parent volunteer when you arrive at the bus stop so that this person is aware that you are leaving your daughter with them (the parent volunteer will also keep a headcount).
  • Q What if the bus is late?

If the bus does not arrive at the designated bus stop on time, the volunteer parent will wait with the girls for the next bus. The designated bus times should leave plenty of time for the girls to get to school in the event that their bus is a few minutes late or they need to board the next bus.
  • Q What if there is a rainstorm on a B2B morning?

The Bus to Burke's program will run rain or shine! While we certainly understand if you'd prefer not to participate during inclement weather, we encourage your girls to don their raincoats, grab an umbrella and prove that their commitment to a better environment continues rain or shine!

Bus to Burke's volunteer coordinator, Jennifer Moses will send out an email the night before a B2B Thursday in the unlikely event of a change to the Bus to Burke's schedule.
  • Q Is riding the bus safe?

We encourage parents to ride the bus lines themselves to get a first hand feel for what the 1-California line is like, but we believe that the 1-California bus is one of the cleanest and safest bus lines in the city.
  • Q How can I volunteer to ride the bus with the girls?

We're glad you asked! Please contact Jennifer Moses.
  • Q Have any questions or concerns?

Please contact Jennifer Moses. We welcome any and all feedback to help improve the program!
  • Q How long will the girls be on the bus?

The bus ride lasts approximately 16 minutes from the time they board at the Presidio Avenue stop, to the time they disembark in front of the school at California Street and 32nd Avenue. (12 minutes from the Arguello Street stop).
Burke's mission is to educate, encourage and empower girls. Our school combines academic excellence with an appreciation for childhood so that students thrive as learners, develop a strong sense of self, contribute to community, and fulfill their potential, now and throughout life.
