Why a Girls' School?

After more than 100 years of educating young women, we still have a passion for single-gender education. Why? The answer lies in girls who aren't afraid to raise their hands, sports teams where every position is filled by a young woman and the impressive slate of high schools and colleges that our alumnae eventually attend. According to the National Coalition of Girls' Schools, girls' school graduates plan to enter engineering at a rate three times that of their co-ed school counterparts, and given that Burke's is located in a city where the booming tech industry is dominated by men, that speaks to us.
