Colby Clark was born and raised in New York City and attended high school in Summit, N.J. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Political Science and American Government. Colby moved west to San Francisco in 1997 after spending one year in Vail, Colo. Shortly after moving to the Bay Area, Colby joined Farallon Capital Management, L.L.C., a multi-strategy asset management firm based in San Francisco (with additional offices in London, Singapore, Tokyo, and Sao Paulo). In her current role as Managing Director, she is responsible for supervising the firm’s global middle office functions.
From 2006 to 2013, Colby served as a member of U.Va.’s College of Arts and Sciences Benefactors Society Board, acting as vice president for two years and as president in her final year on the board. In 2011, she co-chaired her 15th Year Reunion Giving Committee. Colby was a perennial Annual Fund volunteer at her daughters’ preschool (The Little School), and she has served on the Burke’s Annual Fund Committee since 2010 and on its steering committee for two years in 2013 and 2014. She also enjoys volunteering for Burke’s Faculty and Staff Appreciation Committee.
Colby is married to Chris Clark and is the mother of Fiona ’19 and Beatrice ’22. Her hobbies include reading, running, and skiing.
