Student Life
We like to say that there are at least “400 ways to be a Burke’s girl.” Our job, over the course of a student’s time at Burke’s, is to help her find the confidence and enthusiasm to become exactly who she wants to be.
Every day and all day, girls are the focal point of everything that happens at Burke’s. Girls are the top students, the most accomplished athletes, and the leaders in student government. Girls speak up in class and drive the extracurricular activities. The consequences are positive and empowering. Research shows that students in all-girls’ schools gain self-confidence, have high educational aspirations, and are more likely to choose careers in math and science fields.
Athletics, the arts, community service all play an important role at Burke’s. Our goal is not merely to empower girls, but to give them the skills and self-assurance to empower themselves. Our girls eagerly embrace the opportunity to take on a challenge and try something new – because at Burke’s they know they will be encouraged and supported every step of the way.
