James "Jimmy" Franzone has focused his career on developing and executing strategies that drive business growth through product innovation and strategic acquisitions. From 2010 through 2021, Jimmy was the SVP Strategy at TriNet, a leading HR business services provider focused on helping small and medium-sized businesses thrive. In his role, he transformed the business into an HR technology and services leader with a national footprint by leading the acquisition of ten businesses while developing TriNet’s capabilities to develop, track, and manage new offerings for its customers. Prior to TriNet, Jimmy was an investor at General Atlantic, a global private equity firm and an investor at Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV). He started his career at McKinsey & Company as a Business Analyst upon graduation from college. Jimmy is the Treasurer for the Town School for Boys Parents Association, and served on the Executive Committee of the Board of NAPEO, the professional employer organization (PEO) industry association, from 2018 to 2021. Jimmy participated on the MarketLab Advisory Council for The Nature Conservancy’s California Chapter. In the past, Jimmy served as a Board member or observer for several portfolio companies and volunteered as a coordinator for the Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula.

Jimmy holds an A.B. in economics from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
