Burke’s Library has a Birthday Book Program, administered by the Parents' Association. The program allows parents to honor their daughter’s birthdays by donating a book to the library in her name. The program also provides the library with funds for additional materials and programming.

Here’s how the Birthday Book Program works: Around the time of her birthday, a girl receives a congratulatory card in the mail. On the back of the card is a remittance form. Parents who want to participate in the Birthday Book Program may send the signed remittance form and payment to the library in the enclosed envelope. (The envelope may be mailed or left in the Burke’s front office.) Payment can be in any amount, starting at $10. Birthday books may be selected by the girl with her parents or on her own or by the librarian. A bookplate with the girl’s name goes into the selected book(s). The girl may then be the first to check out the book(s). Girls with summer birthdays will receive cards either at the end or the beginning of the school year.

If a remittance card is misplaced, please feel free to use this form.
Burke's mission is to educate, encourage and empower girls. Our school combines academic excellence with an appreciation for childhood so that students thrive as learners, develop a strong sense of self, contribute to community, and fulfill their potential, now and throughout life.
