Start-of-School Letter from Michele Williams

It is such a great time to be on the Burke’s campus — the start of this new school year is sure to be full of adventures, both big and small, for students, faculty and our community members alike. After a long, quiet summer at Burke’s (well, except for those construction workers who renovated the Lower School bathrooms!), it’s wonderful to once again hear the sounds of joyful, excited voices in the hallways and on the playgrounds.
What a gratifying reminder of all of the work we put into educating these girls, both here and at home. This is truly a team effort!

Another big element of our return is that we’re beginning the first full year of our new Strategic Plan (Our Community. Our Campus. Our Commitment.), which will feature a lot of important work toward our ultimate goal of crafting the 21st-century Burke’s girl and all of the wonder that entails. I look forward to collaborating with each of you on this important work. Your support lays the groundwork for incredible things to come — both on our campus and off, both when your daughters are here and when they’ve moved on.

But for now, sit back and enjoy these days with your family as you hear all about the new and fun activities happening in your daughters’ classrooms. We hope you rested up and refreshed over the summer, because we’re back and ready to go!

Sincerely,

Michele Williams
