The Green & Gold has arrived!

Please login to access the Fall 2009-10 edition of The Green & Gold

We are happy to offer the fall edition of The Green & Gold, our school newspaper, as a link on the Burke's website. The student body has already received their copy of the newspaper and we would like to give our online readers the opportunity to enjoy the paper too.

This year we are trying something different. The Upper School change to a six-day rotation schedule affected the time frame and frequency of our class meetings, so our first newspaper of the school year is a four-page edition instead of the usual eight pages, and students received copies in mid-October instead of early December. In The Green & Gold one of our staff members wrote, "...the newspaper will be shorter than before, but we can assure you it will be just as good!"

Our eighth grade newspaper students are responsible for determining the content, writing articles and doing the newspaper layout using InDesign. Our seventh grade journalism students submit articles to the newspaper staff for publication. It is truly a joint effort.

These eighth grade students were on the staff of The Green & Gold:

Sasha C
Malini S
Katherine T

These seventh grade journalism students contributed work to The Green & Gold:

Deedee A
Natalie d B
Maria F
Hannah M
Rachel Q

We hope you enjoy the fall edition of The Green & Gold.
