Dear Burke's Families

Welcome to Burke's Parents' Association for 2009-2010! One of the primary reasons I got involved with the Parents' Association (PA) was to have a greater sense of the school where my daughters spend their day. Through the PA, I have not only gotten to know Burke's better, but have met so many wonderful, dedicated individuals who have greatly enriched our family's school experience.

The PA encourages families to get involved and there are a myriad of activities that serve to both enhance our community and raise funds for our school. These activities include: helping with classroom parties and events; volunteering in the art room, library and lunchroom; coordinating an activity at our annual fall Family Festival; attending our dynamic, informative Speaker Series and Kim's Book Group; working to pull together our fabulous Dinner Auction; and attending our bi-monthly PA meetings at which a wealth of information is imparted!. However you choose to get involved, there are many ways to express your talents, find new ones and get to know the community along the way.
