Week 1 March 23 - 27:
- Get CHP folder with timeline and read through all information including rules with parents. Give parents a copy of the timeline sheet and have parents sign the timeline sheet in your red CHP folder. Due Wednesday March 25th.
- Brainstorm ideas sheet in class and at home,
- Topic due on March 25th on 3x5 index card with statement of purpose.
- Bring books and information from home to research during class if you are using family resources. Due Wednesday, March 25th.
Week 2 March 30 - April 3:
- Decide on topic for writing piece. Due April 1
- Start to research on your topic. Take notes. Bring resources from home. Bring note cards.
- NoodleTool check April 3.
- Make up interview questions. What do you need to know?
- E-mail, interview or call people who will help you with your project.
- Start to collect pictures and other items for your board.
Week 3 April 20 - April 24:

- Continue to research and interview relatives.
- E-mail, interview or call people that will help you with your project.
Week 4 April 27 - May 1:
- Proposal for writing piece due April 27.
- Continue to collect materials for booth.
- Fill out plan of action sheet in class this week
- NoodleTool check on April 29.
- Outline due May 4.
Week 5 May 4 - 8:
- Outline due May 4.
- Continue collecting information for board.
- Continue to research and interview relatives. E-mail, interview or call people that will help you with your project
- Make up interview questions. What do you need to know?
- Rough draft of writing piece due May 11.
- Bring your board home this week.
Week 6 May 11 - 15:
- Rough draft of writing piece due May 11.
- E-mail, interview or call people with last minute questions or requests for memorabilia.
- Work on your board this week.
- Pin items on board before using glue.
Week 7 May 18 - 21 - Fair Week!
- Final construction of board is due this week. Go over checklist and rubric for board.
- Decide whether you want to bring food, wear a costume, have music or use a video.
- Fill out "Needs Sheet" in class.
- Final draft due May 20. Go over checklist for writing. Look at rubric for writing.
- Bring board to Room 201 by 8:15 on Thursday, May 21. You will need a ride to school. You will stay at school until 7PM. Food will be provided.
